Holeys is truly a Canadian success story. Founded in a Vancouver garage in 2002, Holeys has grown into a multi-million dollar company now operating out of an 85,000-square foot facility in Richmond, BC. Holeys has distribution centers in Canada and the United States and sells it products through Distributors around the world. With growth of over 6000%, the company was named number one on Profit Magazine’s PROFIT HOT 50 in 2006 and number four in 2007.

Holeys makes comfortable, light weight, highly functional footwear for active feet. All Holeys footwear uses the TREVA2.0 proprietary process which fuses Holeys SoleTek and SmartCel with a bond that is stronger than either the shoe or sole.

SmartCel is made from a closed cell foam (EVA-ethyl vinyl acetate) that is:
  • lightweight
  • washable
  • shock absorbing
  • durable
  • bacteria and odor resistant
  • 100% leakproof
SoleTek is incorporated into all of Holeys products now sold. It is comprised of a thermo rubber or rubber tread (depending on the product) that provides increased slip resistance to create a safe and stable shoe. Competitor shoes with soles comprised of purely EVA, wear quickly resulting in a smooth surface which can be treacherous in wet conditions.

Holeys produces innovative lifestyle products featuring footwear for kids through its Critters collections, footwear and boots for the Home and Garden markets as well as comfortable lightweight footwear for duty and professional markets such as the hospitality sector, hospitals and clinics and the food services sector. Holeys products are versatile and are the perfect choice for a variety of purposes.

Holeys demonstrates its commitment towards the Global Community by donating both footwear and cash to those in need. In 2007, Holeys donated 100,000 pairs of shoes to Soles4Souls, an organization which distributes shoes to third world countries. Holeys has also supported the victims of Hurricane Katrina and the Tsunami in Thailand as well as a number of local causes.

Under the dynamic leadership of President & CEO Joyce Groote, Holeys has received many accolades from the business community. In 2007, Joyce was awarded the number 34 position on the PROFIT W100 (up from number 91 in 2006) which honours excellence in visionary sales leadership to Canada’s top women entrepreneurs. Her position of finalist in the 2007 Entrepreneur of the Year award highlighted her ability to transform a company into a multi-national supplier of lifestyle products.
