2009 – New Products Hit the Mark

October 19, 2009 – Richmond, BC

How do you measure yourself in these times?  Well, if you are Holeys, you re-invent yourself and continue to connect to your customers and consumers.  Holeys has recently focused its attention on the Home and Garden market.  According to Groote, “This market was ripe for innovation.  Our SmartCel material has so many features that are perfect for the home and garden that it was a logical fit for our products.”

Holeys has just completed the last of its trade shows for the Fall ’09/Spring ’10 seasons in North America.  “It has been our strongest Fall season yet”, states Joyce Groote.  “It is gratifying to develop new products for new markets and to see them be accepted so quickly!”

Holeys won the distinction as being #1 for having the best new products being introduced at the show.

Visitors to the show were very enthusiastic about how lightweight, comfortable and flexible both the Weatherall and Coastal boots were.  The vibrant colors and fun patterns also received a lot of praise.  Now that some have received their orders, testimonials are starting to come in.

Wrote Martin Livermore, Iowa of the Weatherall Boot:  “Temperatures were in the 20s and 30s with several inches on fresh snow. The boots remained flexible. I stayed warm, and dry with one ply 100% wool socks. No blisters. no leaks and little visible sign of wear.  I really enjoyed the light weight of the boots with all that walking (7 miles).”

The talk of the shows was the fact that innovative products were being developed for the Home and Garden markets.  As one retailer stated “We strive to make our stores a ‘go to’ destination for one stop shopping.  Products such as Holeys help stores like us to become providers of full solutions for our customers.”
